Why is the display indicating the wrong room condition?

My room pressure/condition monitor is not displaying the proper room condition, how do I make it shows a positive, negative, or neutral room?

For critical environments, the space being monitored can be a positive, negative, or neutral space. The user determines what kind of space is being monitored with the alarm set points.

A positive room will have alarm set points set above 0.

A negative pressure room will have alarm set points below 0.

A neutral room will have the alarm set points span both sides of 0 pressure.

Things to check for your room monitor:

  • Check the alarm set points and make sure they correspond to the proper kind of room.
    • Negative room: MUST have a negative upper bound
    • Positive room: Must have a positive lower bound
    • Alarm limits with a 0 set as one of bounds makes it display as neutral
  • Be sure the unit is plumbed correctly so that the HI or POSITIVE port is plumbed to the room being monitored and the LO or NEGATIVE port is plumbed to the reference space.
  • Check that the monitor is plumbed to the correct reference space
