How can I use my Particle Counter in a duct?

To use a particle counter in a duct, the particle counter must be placed into a sealed container and the container must be ported to the duct with a static port to equal the duct vacuum or pressure.  This allows the particle counter to maintain its’ 0.1cfm (2.83 LPM) suction, or its 1.0 cfm for the SPC3000.

The sampling probe is to be inserted into the duct perpendicular to the flow. The probe tip is to be diagonally cut so that the “flute” samples the flow. The “flute” is necessary to provide a better capture rate of particles traveling at velocity in the duct.

Any cable or tube exiting the box must be properly sealed to maintain pressurization. The box should have a clear cover to be able to see the display but can be controlled and monitored locally on a PC using the included IMS software.
