Does the AIIR Watch “kill” COVID-19?

The combination of the HEPA filter and UV-C Light inside any AIIR Watch unit, regardless of the configuration, was tested by a third party nationally recognized testing lab (NRTL) to be >99.99% effective at neutralizing Viruses and Bacteria. 

The labs testing these products are not Bio Safety Level 4 labs (BSL4) so they are not able to use actual COVID-19 virus particles for their testing. They do understand that consumers want to know how effective these products will be against COVID-19. Because of that the lab uses a virus called Phage X174 (PhiX174 in the test results below) as the virus surrogate. This Phi X174 virus particle is even more difficult to treat than COVID-19 particles, so the test results indicate the effectiveness of the combination of a HEPA filter and UV-C Light against COVID through the Phi X174 surrogate testing.
